There is no reality in parody, according to Obama, who claims that Fox News creates a “caricature” of him. I had the good fortune to have a buddy who was a caricature artist who was born in Bavaria and had previously served as the director of the art department for a large newspaper in Texas in the United States. This guy was my friend in the late eighties. In his life, he was going through a stage in which he was living a Bohemian lifestyle. He could be spotted every day in the French Quarter of New Orleans, where he would set up to draw caricatures of both tourists and locals alike. In spite of the fact that black and white photographs were the least expensive, individuals were more likely to choose full color renderings since these images highlighted their unique characteristics and attributes. The images nearly had a portrait aspect that was pressed firmly into the caricature that people seemed to enjoy. My buddy was a master of color and tone, and the pictures almost had that impact. When I asked him how he chose the aspects of a person to emphasize in his drawings in order to create a one-of-a-kind look for each one, he responded with a response that I will never forget. He said that there were two approaches to choose which characteristics to emphasize. While he was engaging his subjects in chats about where they were from, their professions and occupations, and other personal information, the first thing he did was make a decision for himself based on what he saw and what he heard. He was only trusted by a small number of individuals to pick which characteristics he would choose in order to win the drawing. According to him, making decisions for them was only done as a last option, but why is that the case? When he made a decision, they were almost never happy with the outcome. This was the case the majority of the time. Indeed, there are situations in which they might feel insulted. It wasn’t always precisely how his clientele regarded themselves, despite the fact that he was brutally honest in his creative work. If they were snooty, he noticed it, and if they were sloppy, he caught it as well; nevertheless, they would not accept that type of honesty about themselves. By asking the consumer what they wanted to see exaggerated and blown out of proportion, he was able to address the issue of the disgruntled customer. It was nearly humorous, and at times it was completely humiliating. The outcome almost was. In the depictions, men with modest builds were shown to have tremendous muscles and chests that were barreling. Those women who were not very attractive were portrayed as being stunningly beautiful. Indeed, this is the purpose. In order to determine how well Mr. Obama is doing or what image he believes he is putting onto us, if we look at him through his own eyes, we will undoubtedly find that he seems to be just OK to the majority of people and terrific to some of them. Is this the kind of thing that news organizations and agencies are expected to provide? When it comes to informing us about what is going on with the President, should they rely on a party line, a limited access report, or a mountain of propaganda that has been pre-planned? However, if that is all we are looking for, there are a great number of networks that provide just that and very little more. As far as the slogan “fair and balanced” can meet with any reasonable expectation, Fox News is the only kid on the block and by no means the new kid on the block. Yes, they have some loud mouths, self-absorbed commentators, and a few outright cornballs on their roster, but they are the only kid on the block. They are able to expostulate without using expletives or exaggeration that is not necessary, and they are able to encourage without attempting to enchant. Neither of us is a moron. Despite the fact that we are aware that O’Reilly is a fiery Irishman who, at times, needs to tone it down, we are certain that he is demonstrating his genuine personality rather than his fabricated caricature. We are able to maintain our disagreement with him and other individuals at Fox, but we are aware that they are attempting to provide us with an unobstructed view of the events as they unfold in real time. Even if they don’t always get it, they never ask the people they are reporting on how they would want to be portrayed via their reporting. Because of this, our president feels uneasy while interacting with Fox. It is imperative that we all keep in mind that this is not Fox News’s issue, but rather the problem of the president, and in no way the responsibility of any of us. When O’Reilly was doing the first interview for the Super Bowl, he repeatedly asked the president, “Why do so many Americans dislike you?” This question has now become a classic. With a laborious, if not anxious, finesse, Mr. Obama redirected O’Reilly’s inquiry instead of explicitly addressing the question. He resisted the need to immediately answer the question. This question has already been addressed, since he has been in office for five years and has already completed his administration. As of right now, all we can do is hope that Bill will inquire about the reasons why it has turned sour and the actions that the president plans to do in response to the situation. In the event that the top dog at Fox does not get too emotional when he is in the company of the Chief, it is possible that this time he will paint the caricature based on what he really sees rather than what Mr. Obama wants him to see. In addition, you will be able to recognize the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32 is the verse.
