Sounding like a valley girl is not going to help you achieve your goal of making the greatest possible impression on the person you are trying to impress. You lose all semblance of credibility when you increase the tone of your voice at the conclusion of each phrase. This is because your comments seem like inquiries, which completely undermines your credibility. There is a possibility that you are highly trustworthy; but, if you raise the tone of your voice at the conclusion of comments, it does not give the impression that you are credible. Of general, the increase in inquiries is accompanied by a decrease in statements. That is really all there is to it. If you could think of a few actors who you admire, that would be great. Does the manner in which these individuals express themselves suggest that they are asking questions or that they are making statements? I should also mention that it was not just the ladies that communicated in this manner; the males did as well. The manner in which they spoke and the tone of their voices did not convey credence to the views that they were taking, despite the fact that I was aware that they were all clever individuals. In the event that you are uncertain as to whether or not you speak in this fashion, the most helpful piece of advise that I can provide is to record yourself in both a conversation and in a fake presentation. You should play it back and pay attention to the way you are speaking. Are the phrases you’re using sounding like questions? Is there a noticeable change in the pitch of your voice when you conclude each of your statements? For example, do you use the linguistic tic like throughout the whole of your speech? In the event that you responded affirmatively to any of these inquiries, you are required to modify the way in which you communicate. It is possible that the voice of a valley girl is adorable for a 16-year-old, but it is not the image that you want to convey as a professional man or woman in the corporate world today.
