Are you the kind of person that, as soon as Halloween is over, begins decorating for the holidays? Do you prepare cookies, light Christmas candles, and begin your shopping for everyone on your list? I usually wait until the end of winter to decorate my house for the holidays, but the small garden is one area where I like doing so. The gardening calendar is not to be missed. I begin considering autumn and winter plants in the summer. I then put my winter plants in their pots when the weather cools down and choose the accent pieces for my winter container garden. But until I trim the little tree, it isn’t exactly Christmas season. It’s officially tree time in the fairy garden as October draws to a close and the days become shorter. Selecting a tree: For the little garden, there is no such thing as a perfect Christmas tree. Each gardener has their own taste, and mine varies from season to season. I’ve dabbled with artificial trees, real winter plants, shrubs, and bonsai types. Gardeners should choose winter container plants that are appropriate for their hardiness zone, container size, and other requirements. For my indoor container gardens, tablescapes, teacup gardens, and other creative displays, I usually go for imitation Christmas trees. I have real trees in my garden beds and patio pots. Naturally, decorating with trees involves more than just placing the little Christmas tree in the ground. I think about the tree’s location first. Which location do you like for the small tree—nestled next to a fairy home, or in the middle of the fairy village? Will it be decked up with tiny decorations or lighted with tiny lights? Is there a brilliant star or a bow on top? You can discover that there are many choices once you begin to think about them. I always incorporate a few bottle brush trees or other fake trees that seem like they’ve been powdered with snow when I arrange my winter container garden. When I pick winter blooming plants and other winter plants that don’t mind a small dusting of actual snow, they provide a joyful, joyful feel to the whole garden. the show’s star A genuine or artificial Christmas tree placed as the focal point of the garden is one of my favorite holiday miniature gardens. As the fairies assemble around the tree, they place gifts under its limbs. There’s fake snow on the ground. The tree may be gradually adorned with garlands, glitter, and tiny decorations in the weeks before the holiday. I may even pull a little red wagon up close to the tree and stuff it with decorations or gifts. If you’re not ready to put in a real Christmas tree in your fairy garden, there’s another entertaining alternative that I can’t wait to try. In my winter container garden, my dream is to create a Christmas tree farm. There would be around a dozen little bottle brush trees arranged in rows, and a few more in wagons, wheelbarrows, or even on top of fairy cars. I would include a homemade sign that reads, Trees for Sale. A little kiosk where a fairy may offer hot chocolate. How do you feel? Will you wait a few weeks, or is it tree time in the little garden already? Personally, I am eager to get going. This year more than ever, we need Christmas happiness. To create enchanted small settings, miniature gardening provides a range of decorations, furnishings, fairies, and miniature trees.
