In the midst of the concrete jungle that is Kolkata, Square Consultancy Services has designed two sales pavillions for prospective homebuyers, therefore providing an oasis of nature… Developers have been consistently going above and beyond in their efforts to attract prospective customers to the real estate developments they are designing and developing. The sales pavilions provide guests with an experience that establishes the standard for both the purchase and the expectations that they have from the new location; the showflat is the last piece of the puzzle. When it comes to the designs of the sales offices and display apartments for Ecos New Town and Sugam Habitat, both of which are located in Kolkata, the architects make nature the protagonist of their designs. This is because nature is the most prominent selling factor. The Ecos Sales Gallery is a low-key building that is situated in New Town and looks out over the urban Eco Park, which is more than 500 acres in size. The area, which is placed on green mounds rather than the typical exposed plinth, is instead a composition of courtyards, thereby blurring the borders between the constructed and un-built environments. This is done in order to maintain the surrounding environment. The interior design of its display apartment is characterized by an intimately stylish style, which stands in contrast to the simple expression of the sales pavilion. A dense low-rise residential construction is located outside the boundaries of Habitat, which is a component of Sugam Habitat. In the middle of the vegetation, it provides visitors with both relaxation and a surprise. A hollowed out quadrangular box that is divided onto two floors contains a green wall that is 300 square feet in size on the inside and furniture that is custom-designed and fashioned out of salvaged wood; both the flat and the sales pavillion form a continuously occurring conversation with nature. A significant connection, both physically and visually, is established between the surroundings and both of the pavilions. The design, which is based on an ecological concept and is intended to be mirrored in the dwellings as well, provides a glimpse of the harmony that is anticipated to exist with nature. There are water bodies that encircle an edifice, rich landscapes, ample natural light that pours in through the low-e glass translucent shells, and flora that provides a textural language to each of the rooms. The structures, which are constructed mostly out of steel and glass, function to create a seamless link between the inside and outside of the building. The shells are able to be disassembled and reused, which is both functional and consistent with the fact that they are just temporary. Both buildings provide their guests with a journey that goes beyond merely viewing the project and serves as the initial point of contact between the customer and the project. Visitors are greeted by a physical model of the project, they have the opportunity to exchange information and interact with sales executives in one of the meeting rooms, they are given presentations in the audiovisual room, they get a sense of the project as they view the construction site from terraces, and finally, they are given the opportunity to experience their potential home in a show flat. The high expectations that were created by the sales pavilions are something that we are looking forward to seeing how the houses live up to.
