Gulftainer’s senior management recently welcomed a delegation from bee’ah, who presented the company with a certificate to recognize the company’s ongoing commitment to improving the environment. This was in recognition of Gulftainer’s recent efforts to increase the efficiency of its recycling operations. gulftainer’s group managing director, peter richards, group director of business services, ramesh shivakumaran, and group qhse manager, magimairaj bose, met with the team from bee’ah, the largest and most award-winning waste management company in the middle east, also based in sharjah, to present the award and discuss further initiatives. bee’ah is also the company that won the award. Paper, plastic, and electronic trash are recycled in the offices of Gulftainer; lubricants, batteries, and tyres are recycled in the engineering departments, to mention just a few of the efforts that are now in place inside the workplace of Gulftainer. The corporation will not send any of its garbage to landfills from this point forward. “we are thrilled to receive this certificate from bee’ah and to be actively engaged in creating the emirate of sharjah a greener environment,” said peter richards, the group managing director of gulftainer. “we are delighted to accept this certificate from bee’ah.” We as a firm think that it is our obligation to set an example for others to follow and to continue raising awareness of the need of adopting the “3 r’s” (reduce, re-use, and recycle) in the workplace as well as in other areas of life. We have great hopes that these projects will demonstrate how simple it is to make a difference in the world.
