A variety of special events, such as luncheons, dinners, talks, and an end-of-season gala held at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, are included in the 2018-19 Season of the Monterey Symphony, which is titled “Sound Waves.” In addition to its six performances, the season also includes a number of other special events. John Wineglass, who won an Emmy Award for his compositions and was the composer of Big Sur: The Night Sun in 2016, is joined by Alex Berko, who was the composer of “Among Waves” in the 2018 Big Sur commission. Find out more about the many adventures they have had while producing music that is inspired by the wild coastline known as Big Sur. The cost is $25, and there is limited seating. The Luncheon in October 11:00 a.m. on the 18th of October, 2018. Come celebrate with the Symphony at a one-of-a-kind luncheon that will take place on October 18, 2018, at the breathtaking Glen Deven Ranch, which spans 860 acres in Big Sur. Alex Berko, a composer, drew inspiration for his most recent piece, “Among Waves,” which was commissioned in collaboration with The Big Sur environment Trust. The sights from this natural environment proved to be a source of inspiration. The cost is fifty dollars for each individual. It is recommended that you wear footwear that is suitable for walking on grassy walks and uneven surfaces while you are outside at Glen Deven Ranch since the ranch is home to some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the world. The Opening Night Party with the Red Carpet It is 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on October 20, 2018. Cannery Row, Monterey in addition to the Monterey Bay Aquarium On Friday, May 3, 2019, the Monterey Aquarium will be hosting a celebration of the Open Ocean, and you are invited to join the Monterey Symphony. You will get the opportunity to enjoy a strolling meal, delectable wines, and exclusive access to the Open Ocean exhibit at the Aquarium. There will be both silent and live auctions, musical moments, and surprises centered on the water. Proceeds from the event are donated to the Monterey Symphony. A ticket costs $250. The cost is fifty dollars for each individual. 1:30 a.m. – There is no host Mixed drinks Lunch will begin at 12:15 p.m. This is a guest speaker at 1:15 p.m. Presentation Concerning the Monterey Symphony Orchestra The Monterey Symphony’s aim is to engage, educate, and thrill our community via the performance of symphonic music and the ongoing discovery of new symphonic music. The Monterey Symphony is the only completely professional orchestra that performs during the whole season, and it serves the towns of Monterey Bay, Salinas, Salinas Valley, Big Sur, and San Benito County. Max Bragado-Darman serves as the orchestra’s artistic director and conductor. In addition to providing double performances of a six-concert subscription series at Carmel’s Sunset Theater, it also offers youth education programs that culminate in full-orchestra concerts for schoolchildren. These programs involve visits to the classrooms of the students.
