During the six years that I homeschooled my autistic adolescent, I cherished every single moment of it. Over the course of those years, I was able to determine what aspects of his learning style were successful and which were not. K12, a neighboring cooperative homeschool program, and now he is entirely remote in a public school setting are all things that he has used in the past. There is still a significant amount of knowledge that he is lacking, particularly in the area of mathematics. The process of determining which websites are effective and which ones he finds himself dozing off on has been a whirlwind, haha! So without further ado, here are the ten websites that I have tried and sometimes still access to obtain free or low-cost printables for core subjects. These websites allow for the subject matter to be broken down and easily processed, and they also provide access to visual versions of the same subject matter. Additionally, some of these websites may have a video or visual representation of what the instructor is trying to convey to his general education class. brainpopjr All of us adore brainpopjr! With the exception of our autistic son, who was in kindergarten through third grade, we were the only ones who had access to this website. We still use it occasionally because it is colorful and entertaining, and it teaches us about a variety of historical events as well as all of the fundamental subjects.” For students in kindergarten through third grade, brainpop junior provides digital instructional material that may be accessed online. It encourages young learners to ask questions and come up with their own ideas in a gentle manner, and it covers more than 250 different themes.” for the brainpopjr brainpop Because it covers the core courses for students in grades 4 through 12, brainpop is comparable to its younger sibling, brainpopjr. In addition, it includes a few subjects and core for students who are younger or who are a little more advanced, as well as for students who have special needs. During the time that I was writing this essay, my son was reminiscing with me about how much he used to like brainpop, which is an animated educational website for children that covers topics such as science, social studies, English, mathematics, arts and music, health, and technology. With the use of brainpop starfall Where do I begin? When my youngest child was having difficulty meeting his reading quota on most days when he was in kindergarten through third grade, I was looking for a method to teach my autistic kid while still allowing him to have fun. Enter starfall. Initially, it was a free resource, but as it grew in popularity, it became a paid plan. It was precisely what I was searching for at the moment, and it was exactly what I needed. It is still one of the oldest ones that are available, and it is still extremely enjoyable to look at and browse around in order to see what has changed and what is still missing. On the other hand, from what I can see, it has pretty much maintained its focus and is fantastic for younger children, as well as for children with special needs who struggle with reading and maintaining their concentration. “Children have a good time while they are gaining knowledge at Starfall. The free public service that is starfall.com® was launched in September of 2002 with the purpose of teaching youngsters how to read. Since that time, it has grown to include the subjects of language arts and mathematics for individuals in preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade schools. It has been shown that the combination of audiovisual interaction and the focus placed on phonemic awareness, systematic sequential phonics, and frequent sight words in Starfall has proved to be beneficial in the instruction of emerging readers. Activities offered by Starfall are founded on research and are designed to meet both individual and common core state requirements in the areas of English language arts and maths. A subscription to our low-cost membership program allows you to access more free material, such as animated songs, mathematical tasks, and reading activities that cover grades K-3. In addition, membership helps to fund the creation of new films, music, instructive video games, and publications. Dr. Stephen Schutz is the one who came up with the idea for the program, which is presented by the Starfall Education Foundation, which is a charitable organization. Because of his dyslexia, Stephen struggled to learn how to read when he was a growing youngster. One of his goals was to develop a website that would provide children with untimed, multimodal interactive activities that would enable them to see, hear, and touch as they were learning.” courtesy of education.com’s starfall When I was first beginning to homeschool my autistic son, it was difficult to determine what would work and what wasn’t working for him. As a result, I joined education.com, where I was able to gain access to a large number of worksheets that were related to his fundamental subjects, such as history, mathematics, social studies, language arts, and other subjects.” With more than 30,000 digital and printed materials, children are able to acquire knowledge on any subject that piques their interest. Learning games are designed to accomplish this goal, which is to get the learner involved in the learning process while also allowing them to have fun.” The foundational mathematical and linguistic abilities that are required by the curriculum of today’s primary schools may be built with the help of educational games, which are an excellent tool. During his time in middle school and earlier, my son would frequently visit this website as a reward. In particular, he would visit this site as a reward whenever he finished his homework assignments. As a result, he was aware, or at least he was aware of what I wrote on his daily schedule at the time, that he would be able to “play” on the math website once he finished his homework. According to the cool math 4 kids narrative online, “coolmath4kids is an amusement park with games, lessons, and more, meant to teach math and make it exciting.” This is because coolmath4kids caters to users who are 12 years old or younger. It was one of my son’s speech therapists who first brought us to this website, and ever since then, we have not stopped using it. This website is really fantastic, since it allows renowned individuals to read books to youngsters online, complete with a lot of animation and excitement. When my kid was first exposed to a book that was read to him online, it included animation and emotion, and it was written by a well-known author. We were both immediately fascinated. I am unable to put enough emphasis on this. This is a lot of fun, and there are a lot of different books and genres for you to chose from. this concludes the discussion.
