Over a long period of time prior to the publication of “Hating Jesus,” I was reading internet essays written by Matt Barber. I have always been impressed by his literary abilities, which were reminiscent of his competence in the art of pugilism (boxing). The connections between the two professions were evident. Although we may compare HJ to Barber’s boxing style, there is no denying that it is a significant force that is aligned against the forces of the LGBT community that have been uncontested up until this point. HJ’s introduction pretty much sums it everything. In the book “Hating Jesus,” Matt Barber begins by demonstrating how effective the American left has been in its battle against Christianity. He then closes by offering both hope and a straightforward strategy for how the body of Christ should fight back against those who are hostile to God. A thorough collection of all the LGBT techniques, trends, and manipulations that are being pushed up against the American people has been presented to the reader by Matt and Paul Hair, who also contributed to the writing of this piece. Among them are the use of the law, the media, Hollywood, and the public education system in order to divert public opinion away from a view of the actions of the gay and transgender community that is biblical, moral, natural, and rational. The LGBT community would have every citizen scrutinized, charged, and brought before the courts. Using strategies similar to those of Alinsky in order to engage the thinking of this generation that is morally handicapped is the first step, and it is already well begun. The second phase in the LGBT agenda is to launch attacks and instill fear that they will lose everything, from their work to their riches, in the process of defending themselves against harassment and legal action. An example that is much closer to home demonstrates how far the gay agenda will go to destroy not only individuals but also organizations and yes, Christian churches. Bill Whatcott, who distributed information that was based on biblical principles during the gay pride parade in 2016, has become the target of a class action lawsuit that has been filed against him in the amount of $104,000,000 in Toronto, Canada. In the country that is geographically closest to us, the witch hunt is now being considered for legal action; nevertheless, other attempts demonstrate that the LGBT community and Barack Obama have attempted to isolate whole countries for their failure to spread the homosexual agenda. These are the sorts of information that are covered in great depth in HJ Barber and Hair. At first glance, the function of HJ is completely understandable. Barber and Hair have issued a wake-up call to an entire generation as well as a sleepy, distracted, and wholly self-satisfied Christian church. Among these reasons is a desire that is just as perverted as homosexuality itself. Additionally, it is a desire to twist the extended courtesy given to other religions and behavioral practices in order to destroy the Christianity that served as the foundation for our nation. The twist is subtle and done in increments so that the general people would not panic and rise up against it, according to Barber, who adds, “The LGBT lobby’s “gay” caliphate is aiming to capture the globe, one Christian bakery at a time.” The culmination of the LGBT agenda is referred to as “Practicing Christianity Means Committing Crimes against Humanity,” which is the subject of the fourteenth chapter. What is the driving force behind the struggle for LGBT rights, and where does it originate? The response to the point that was presented before is addressed in an excellent manner in HJ’s chapter 17, which is titled “Establishing the New Religion.” Finding a reason for committing a crime is an essential step in the process of investigating crimes, which is used in both law enforcement and forensic science. The goal is to eradicate Christianity and, as a result, to discredit the God that is associated with the Christian faith. Isaiah 5:20 is a group that accuses Christians of being hateful, despite the fact that it is the Christians themselves who are the ones who are hostile. The purpose behind this is twisted, and it originates from brains that have lost the ability to differentiate between right and wrong, as well as between good and evil. The motivation stems from the tremendous combat that has been going on between good and evil, and the spoils of war that have been accumulated as a result of that conflict are basically the very souls of mankind. Because their commander in chief is the father of lies, it is a diabolical agenda that is kept secret from the troops who are really carrying it out. It is the spiritual fight against God and his Christ, according to those who are schooled in the Bible; but, for others whose senses are on a more secular level, it is the onslaught of the leftists and liberals on all that our country was and may be again in the future. It is the degradation that ultimately leads to the demise, according to any description or definition. The “glorious” flag of civil rights is being used to cover up the fact that death is sneaking over the threshold. It has become the new religion of individuals who believe that they are their own god. Matt Walsh, a blogger, is quoted by HJ in a piece that he wrote in 2014 that provides a reasonably accurate summary of the pattern. “The Cult of Leftism has many tenets, and it requires complete conformity with all of them; yet, nothing in its dogma compares to the holiness of its two big sacraments, which are the murder of children and the practice of sodomy…” Is there anything that we can do to address this issue? Finding out all of the reasons and strategies behind the massive LGBT drive would be pointless if there was no discussion on how to combat it. Fighters get training, are informed on the tactics used by their adversaries, and are well ready to devise countermeasures in the event that an adversary is getting closer. Both offensive and defensive strategies are included into HJ’s approach to combat. The title of the last chapter is “What Exactly Can Christians Do to Recover Lost Ground,” and it is included in the book. It is with the intention of assisting those who will come after us, our children and our grandchildren, that this chapter has been written. The words “We must fight back” are said by Barber, who also states, “Christians, we must engage the cultural war.” This battle is one that every Christian who takes their religion seriously and places their confidence in the Bible, which is the revealed Word of God, ought to take to heart. It is not the case that the genuine Christian church employs mercenaries to fight on their behalf; rather, they are the army of the Lord. They engage in battle with the truth and with a meekness that Matt Barber defines as “…Meekness, which is power that is controlled.” The need to combat the scourge of LGBT advancements that threaten our children and the very future of our nation is what drives me to say that Barber’s Hating Jesus is a must read. It is not the author’s attempt to be patronizing or to titillate that makes me say this; rather, it is the necessity to combat both of these issues. HJ is preparation and a correct appraisal of our adversary. Those who are not well prepared will not undertake any action. The ability to detect and vanquish the deceitful schemes of our most ancient adversary, the Devil, is a necessary component. Don’t be too sure. “Because we do not fight against flesh and blood, but rather against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual wickedness in high places,” the Bible says.
