A run-down area that had been abandoned for more than two decades was recently renovated into a lavish party home for a couple in Mumbai’s exclusive Juhu neighborhood… Homeowners who live in the same building as the designer kanchan fagwani wanted more space for their social events, so she remodeled two neighboring run-down 2bhk flats and merged one flat’s living area with the living area of the other flat to create a magnificent guest-centric party zone. The objective of the renovation project is to create a mood-oriented, plush, enjoyable place that requires low upkeep. This will be accomplished by glamorizing the two bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom that are already there in conjunction with the party zone. The 2,200 square foot apartment has been transformed into a soundproof area by installing double-paned windows and using glass wool as the insulating material. Additionally, the apartment has a sizable bar and a cutting-edge home theater system. Despite having an expansive open space to work with, Kanchan was up to the challenge of addressing the six columns that were impeding the uninterrupted flow of space. They did this by adorning each column with a mirror or stone and effectively translating two neighboring columns into a seating area that gives the appearance of floating in midair. Kanchan develops pockets of seats that are completely suitable to serving huge crowds, therefore encouraging both private and inclusive talks. This works in parallel with the aim of the space, which is to serve as a place for kanchan. As usual, she concentrates on adorning the walls and floor, and she leaves the ceiling empty, but brings it to life with teakwood rafters and moroccan lights in strategic spots. An atmosphere of laid-back lounging is achieved by using a combination of indirect lighting, pendant lights, up-lighters, and cove lighting, as well as leds. an occasional burst of red, such as in a deep red wallpaper; and a lot of golden hues, such as a dull gold custom hue-with-a-texture backdrop, bevelled antique mirrors, spanish motifs; stones and italian marble; even in the washrooms; bedrooms carved in wood and fitted with mirrors; all of these things exude the luxurious appeal. Warm colors are employed throughout, including on the blinds and drapes; meanwhile, hues of gold and black aid to soften the atmosphere. A significant amount of focus is placed on extras such as an exquisite double door made of teak wood that is 8 feet tall and has a large gold handle. Every single item, from the door handle on the main entrance to the one on the closet, is uniquely designed and crafted out of brass to maintain continuity with the overall motif and style. The custom-designed furniture, which includes soft furnishings made of luxurious materials such as chenille and composite leather, is meant to serve as a complementary element to these. It’s interesting to note that the foundation of the dining table is made up of the same four different textures that are utilized throughout the living space. These textures are employed on the table’s four separate obtuse legs. In general, the guest house cum party zone has the required air of luxuriousness, together with an atmosphere that is reminiscent of a party, and a warm and inviting atmosphere.
