I don’t believe I really appreciated the value of friendship until after I had graduated from college, was no longer in school, and had experienced both physical distance and life events that had kept me apart from many of my friends. As young people, we think the connections we make via team sports, sleepovers, friendship bracelets, lengthy phone conversations, and hobbies will last a lifetime. However, there are times when the most meaningful, endearing, and long-lasting friendships are formed by the smallest acts of kindness: thoughtful letters, sincere concern and care, or simply a quick text or phone call when you most need it. Handmade presents, like an emotional tiny garden, are an additional thoughtful way to show your friendship. True friends stick with one other during good times and bad. They embrace your awkwardness and difficulties. That’s why true friends are priceless! Friendships transcend any boundaries that people create, including those based on location, time, age, color, ethnicity, language, religion, or hobbies. Friendships are revered as vital life-giving powers all across the globe. Indeed, according to a 2018 Mayo Clinic analysis, interpersonal relationships have been shown to enhance happiness, lower stress, foster a feeling of belonging, build self-confidence, encourage healthy habits, and assist people in overcoming trauma and loss in addition to being pleasant. Without our friends and time spent together, where would we be? The little garden fairies are aware of the value of friendship. For this reason, they set aside time in the fairy garden to play games, eat tea, and spend quality time together every single day! The fairies also like guests in their little gardens. Friends might be people we encounter along the road or others who live nearby. Incredibly, I have made some of my closest and most enduring friendships in unlikely locations. I happened onto one when at a petting zoo; she’s a lady who makes me giggle every day. I made a new buddy in an unpleasant preteen summer camp, and even though we have (happily) grown up together, we will always remember each other as we were twelve years old! On my first day in a new place, I met my closest buddy, with whom I now collaborate on interests. These are the folks I share my greatest pleasures and depend on during difficult times. We value our connections with one another even if we all have diverse appearances, voices, and life experiences. That is the tremendous influence of friendship. camaraderie in the little garden I am sometimes pleasantly surprised at how many strong friendships I have managed to preserve. Naturally, I consider myself to be an introvert. I’ve been called shy, quiet, and a homebody throughout the years. I make a concerted effort to go outside of my comfort zone, which is defined as my garden or the pages of my favorite novels, and into a wider social circle. Taking up activities has allowed me to make new friends. You are not required to work alone in the small garden if you feel most at ease among tiny plants and fairy garden accents.
