As in part 5 of the realitysculp series, in order for the data to be meaningful, it has to be categorized, sorted, or in some other way ordered. We refer to this procedure as the association filter. The association filter, in contrast to the others, has a strong influence on the right brain and subconscious. In contrast to the left brain, which is detail-oriented, the right brain is concept-oriented. The proverb he can’t see the forest for the trees may be used to describe this. The left brain will concentrate on the specifics in this example, the trees, while the right brain makes the connections between the details and understands the idea of a forest. Thinking from the left and right brains is likewise different. While right brain thinking is concept-oriented and creates meaningful connections between apparently unrelated bits of information, left brain thinking is very linear. One way to characterize the right and left brains is as tactical and strategic, respectively. This indicates that although the left brain offers the execution strategy, the right brain gives guidance and understanding. This is the ideal combination of qualities that the human mind has evolved to possess. Indeed, history demonstrates that when the two parts of the brain function together naturally, very few issues are insurmountable. The association filter supports and serves the right brain, thus it’s critical to comprehend how the two parts of the brain operate differently. In a free-thinking human, information is arranged according to links to other seemingly unrelated information as well as potential significance to objects in the person’s worldview. A free thinker’s mind may make several connections between any one piece of information, each of which has a distinct potential and a distinct line of reasoning. People who operate in this manner will be free to link and disconnect relevant data in a way that is limited only by their own creativity. It would be very hard to get away with a deceit or manipulation for any length of time, which would be a serious issue for someone looking to control and guide people. When individuals may make different connections and, therefore, various lines of reasoning or explanations for the interpretation of any given facts, it is not sufficient to control the data. Only when individual interpretations of the evidence and lines of reasoning can be regulated with predictable outcomes can control be sustained. This result is almost unattainable due to right brain functioning; unless this functionality can be properly blocked, long-term control is also unlikely. Regretfully, a method has been created that almost eliminates the right brain’s role as our lives’ strategic core. Modern education places a great deal of emphasis on this process. Students are taught to reason in a purely linear way via the use of a system of social incentives and punishments, repetitious training, and a general discrediting of right brain activity. It’s also known as deductive and logical reasoning. Youngsters are trained to restrict their imaginations to approved paths of thinking when interpreting any facts. When a student’s right brain connections contradict the findings provided by experts, they face severe criticism and may even face social and physical consequences. From an early age, children are taught that thinking outside the box and questioning the opinions of experts exposes flaws in the thinker rather than the expert. With time, the youngster learns to accept the judgments of others rather than forming their own due to their drive to fit in and prevent the emotional agony of being an outsider. Education focuses only on training the left brain and proving that actions of the right brain are defective and worthless, as stated in the paragraph above. In the contemporary educational system, intuitive thinking is either ignored or penalized as stupidity and has no place. Therefore, pupils will be sent out where it is simply impossible for them to make the intuitive leap that there is more significance or alternative interpretation to the facts they are allowed to receive if they are immersed in linear thinking, repetition, and the use of a social reward and punishment system. Even while right brain activities are discouraged in the classroom, they nonetheless exist and continue to influence the direction of the linear left brain’s train of thought. It is easy to manipulate this underdeveloped and devalued function since it exists. Consciously or subconsciously, individuals are conditioned to accept guidance as long as it is from a permitted or authorized source. The unconscious mind is the primary target of this manipulation. Word and picture association is a popular method for doing this. Consider the meme I took from a Facebook post, which goes like this: Not every Black person has a violent streak. The claim that all White people are racist is untrue. Police are generally decent folks. Many people who read this could conclude that it conveys a good message, but it doesn’t. The meme consists of two parts for every line: an idea and a concept explanation. This functions similarly to verbs and nouns in terms of the subconscious mind. In actuality, this is a deliberately constructed message for the right brain. Observe the well positioned word connections. The statements in the brackets do indeed match those found on mainstream media sources, and despite what might seem to be an opposing viewpoint, this meme actually supports the opposite message. Not all (black people are violent); it’s not true that all (white people are racist); and most (cops are the good guys). One by one, try reading each sentence once again. As you read each phrase, what picture really comes to mind? Does the fact that some Black people are not violent give the impression that all Black people are peace-loving, kind individuals? or does it foster the perception that Black people only commit violent crimes? The stereotype that all white people are racist is untrue. When one thinks of white people, does one see them as accepting of variety or as wealthy white people plotting against people of color? The majority of police officers are decent people; is your perception of them as shackled, furious civilians being beaten by the police, or as honorable, well-groomed policemen who serve and protect? In actuality, achieving and maintaining this viewpoint is rather easy. To begin, a notion must be introduced. Although it may be used into a movie narrative or even a television commercial, it works best when presented in an educational setting. If a notion is presented as a part of a bigger message, it is not required for someone to agree with it or even believe in it. Three deliberate signals are being directed at two major demographics in this example: Black Americans and White Americans. The message is allowed to pass the arc filter since the bigger conscious message contains information that will appeal to every reader. Being Black American, you probably think the first sentence okay since most Black Americans you know are not violent, and the person reading it is probably not a violent person either. The same holds true for a white American, since the majority of readers neither identify as racists nor are they aware of any white individuals who do. After being admitted into the process, the information is categorized into ideas and linked or arranged according to significance. The message is composed of concepts and their descriptions for each line. Not all black people are violent, according to the idea description None of the following is true: not all white people are racist. most – explanation of the idea Police officers are the good guys. The notions have been incorporated into the target population’s worldview notwithstanding the concept definition. For every sentence in the meme, emotive mental imagery have been conjured up. Once again, it will be easy to provide data that will be automatically associated with each of these ideas since you will have control over the context and content of the media messages. pictures of scenarios can help to excite the thoughts. Imagine a scene from a movie where an elderly white lady is terrified because three young males wearing rough clothes boarded the train at night. Prior to learning about these ideas, the audience would have assumed that the men’s attire was the source of the women’s dread. Racial variables that were absent before to the introduction of the ideas will now be present. Now, viewers who identify as black Americans would see the elderly woman’s concern as driven by racism (white people are racist), while viewers who identify as white Americans would understand her dread of the guys as motivated by the perception that black people are violent (black people are violent). You have really sowed discord and mistrust amongst ethnic groups by introducing these ideas, which did not exist previously. Furthermore, you have stoked skepticism or outright denial in the evidence of police misbehavior. Remember that this was one of those Facebook postings that gets posted several times without anybody ever asking where it came from. Now that the effects are known, it would be fascinating to know who wants to sow discord among different ethnic groups while simultaneously encouraging public confidence in law enforcement. more in keeping with the conversation, do you, the reader, agree with any of the meme’s points of view? If so, are you really aware of the source of that mindset or belief? Due to the strong visual sense that humans possess, the identical idea is achieved with much more impact when using visuals. Via visual visuals, both stills (photos) and movies may convey enormous quantities of data. Similar to the text-based message, the graphics are created to present new ideas or reinforce previously discussed subjects while still allowing the audience to connect to the apparently harmless core message. In many instances, it is really rather easy to identify these signals. When watching a movie or television program, search for ideas or takeaways that don’t further the storyline. These are often instances that neither advance the plot nor appear very appropriate. These may be politically charged remarks that are disguised as dialogue between unrelated characters on the program. Characters engaged in activities unrelated to the shop line are another more prevalent, but harder to identify, sight. One recent instance that I came across was a television show whose plot revolved on adolescent alien origin kids who had to choose between utilizing their talents and hiding who they were in order to live. One of the main sub-messages was how adolescents, particularly young girls, were being too sexualized. To put it another way, the young ladies repeatedly reveal themselves in only their underwear throughout the event. The main element that demonstrates this as a sub-message is the absurd circumstances and justifications that deviate from what would be encountered in real life and don’t advance the storyline. Deeply programmed people may find it challenging to do this at first, but with experience and patience, these sub-messages should become clear to anybody who tries to recognize them. In order to become and stay mindfree, a person must be able to recognize the shaped and targeted messages that have already been sent to their worldview in addition to protecting oneself from this kind of programming by recognizing it as they see it. Truth is constantly evaluated by an individual’s preconceived notions, making it challenging for them to achieve this. What if the person’s worldview was already based on false information? What if misinformation and deceit form the foundation of most, if not all, of the beliefs and values that people hold dear? then additional false information would be the only thing they would accept as truth. What a catch-22, isn’t that? An person must first acknowledge that their worldview or perception of reality is false in order to become mindfree.
