An appealing spatial experience is provided by Lukstudio via their u concept gallery, which is located in the bustling and socio-cultural west bund neighborhood of Shanghai… The gallery, which is located inside the pleasant stroll shopping complex, brings together the commercial, educational, and cultural activities under one roof. It is a semi-public retail experience that unfolds throughout the length of the area. Designed to be simple and interesting, the gallery gives visitors the opportunity to interact with one another and discover new things as they go around the folds that make up the space. This tiered arcade is located between the atrium and a small public corridor. It is comprised of a lengthy stretch of white walls with arched openings that provide pausing places at every turn, so changing the monotony of the longitudinal space. The storefront opens and shuts alternately, regulating views and movements on the open floor. This creates inner and outward spaces between the two entrances, which are accessed via the storefront. When the fold is extended, it blurs the distinction between the public hallway and the gallery, which discreetly encourages visitors to enter the gallery. While simultaneously producing an expressive storefront, the basic shape provides vertical display surfaces and discreetly segmented zones for the purpose of flexibility. Across the area, a wooden volume weaves its way between the arches in order to clear the floor of debris and arrange other important programs. It gracefully ascends to create the raised platform or mezzanine, and it conceals the café counter inside its elevated platform. At one of the ends of the arches is a platform that serves as an open classroom. It is possible to find as many as twenty different artists displayed along the high display aisles that wrap around the railing that runs around this workshop. In addition to serving as the ideal viewing gallery for the activities that take place in this classroom, the balustrade also provides access to the elevated platform known as the attic, which provides a more private experience while providing a view of the gallery below. The visual contrast is perfected by lukstudio through the use of a modest material palette consisting of porcelanosa, wood flooring, matching veneer panels, dajulong pvc flooring, white latex paint, and copper. Their goal is to create a tasteful space that encourages and inspires, while allowing the art to do all the talking. Take a look at the pictures on the website indiaartndesign.com.
