In July, I received a phone call informing me that my mother was admitted to the hospital. On the way to the shop, she had fallen. Falling is not a desirable occurrence. A fall that occurred when my mother was 79 years old was not a nice thing for her. I learned that my mother had suffered a fracture to her pelvic. At this moment, she was in the hospital. Because of her advanced age, her physician did not want to do surgery on her. This meant that the healing process would be natural and the recovery would be extremely delayed. Her physician offered her the option of receiving rehabilitation either in her own or in a nursing home. It was my mother’s desire to be the first. It was the latter that we, the youngsters, desired. Due to the fact that she would be in her familiar environment, we were aware that she would have no trouble accepting the first option. On the other hand, I was aware that she was harboring a secret belief that she would never leave that nursing facility if she were to move there (so many of her friends never left the nursing home). She is a very busy person, my mother. Can you even fathom being in bed and not being able to move around? She has spent her whole life working. It is because of the sluggish recuperation that depression begins to set in. I had the impression that Mama would not be able to overcome this obstacle in life, what with all the discomfort of rehabilitation or the lack of independence to do what she wants, when she wants. However, my mother was driven by optimism and an internal force that propelled her on. compelled her to get out of bed and move about. forced her to go through a recovery process that was both difficult and unpleasant. compelled her to move about using a pacifier. exerted pressure on her to walk with a cane. thrown out of the nursing home and back into her own house immediately after leaving. At the moment, she is working part-time while also driving her own automobile. The majority of people would have given up. Nevertheless, my mother did not. 2017 presents us with a number of reasons to be concerned and frightened. The people of the United States of America have just finished voting in one of the most contentious presidential elections in the history of modern times. Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump, in point of fact, have the most unfavorable ratings in the duration of human existence. The majority of people were not talking about the candidate who had the greatest vision; rather, they were talking about “choosing the easier of two evils.” In spite of the fact that Donald Trump is a Republican and that the Senate and House of Representatives are both controlled by Republicans, there is still a great deal of uncertainty. This is because Trump’s economic strategy is not entirely clear, and elected officials are determined to get things done despite the fact that they are engaged in partisan politics. The world is permeated by peril and perilous situations. The damage that is intended at human life continues to “shock and stun” those who engage in terrorist acts. The process of globalization forcibly brings nations together against their consent. Hackers from Russia are attempting to subvert the results of our presidential elections. There are long-term repercussions for the whole world as a result of a strong spike in the dollar due to the fact that it has reached a 14-year high versus 16 key trade partners. An example of this would be China’s concern that a rising dollar may cause their currency to become unstable. A number of other nations are concerned about their own economic achievements in 2017. Have you given any thought to what the year 2017 has in store for you? Do you now find yourself dreading the new year because it will place more pressures on your own personal goals and aspirations? Regrettably, resolutions set for the new year are designed to be broken. In order to prevent themselves from successfully reaching their resolve, the majority of individuals do not possess the mental fortitude necessary to overcome the challenges they are confronted with. A survey that was conducted in 2016 by statisticbrain.com found that a significant number of individuals may resolve to accomplish their goals for the new year. When people first begin, the majority of them continue to keep their resolve until the fifth week (75 percent ). However, the majority of people give up after six months due to the stresses of life and other circumstances, with the exception of the most determined (46 percent ). In spite of this, only forty-five percent of Americans are successful in achieving their resolutions. For example, thirty-nine percent of people in their twenties are successful in achieving their resolutions, while only fourteen percent of people over the age of fifty are successful in achieving their resolutions. In order to get a different result, we will need to make some adjustments. It is possible to improve your chances of being successful this year by having a well-defined course of action and strategy for the year, notwithstanding the pessimism expressed by television commentators. On the other hand, if you maintain a positive frame of mind, no strategy will ever be completely effective. Hope is a feeling that a person has when they have the conviction that 2017 will be superior than the years that came before it. “a sense of expectancy and desire for a specific event to happen,” in other words, is what we mean when we talk about hope. Even when things don’t seem to be headed in a positive direction, there is always optimism. When it comes to overcoming challenges and making a new year’s resolve a reality, hope is an extremely useful asset. The author Viktor Frankl chronicled his life experiences when he was a prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II in his book “Man’s Search for Meaning.” ii. Frankl was able to find hope in the awful circumstances that he was in: “when we are no longer able to alter a situation, we are pushed to change ourselves.” It is possible to take away everything from a man, but there is one thing that cannot be taken away: the last of all human liberties, which is the ability to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances and to define one’s own path. Having the mental fortitude to go on with your plan in the event that what you intended to accomplish with it does not work is essential. As a result, we have hopes and expectations that better things will come to pass since we have the appropriate way of thinking, as well as a documented plan for the execution of our ideas. Consequently, people should not enter this year without any optimism in their hearts. For the new year, the following private solutions are presented for your consideration: First, include optimism and hope into your overall plan. 2. Take stock of the circumstances you are now facing at both your place of employment and at home. You seem to be going ahead, or are you just taking a stand? 3. Determine your objectives and keep a record of them throughout the year. 4. Give some thought to the ways in which you might better your own situation via self-learning, credentials, and more contemporary methods to work strategy. 5. Look for mentors who can help you achieve your own objectives and help you achieve them. 6. As part of your holistic health lifestyle, cultivate your spiritual well-being as a means of making a livelihood. 7. Get rid of persons and situations in your life that are causing you unneeded tension. 8. Surround yourself with a group of people who are beneficial influences on your life. There is a great deal of unpredictability around the year 2017 and beyond. There will be a great deal of unanticipated events that take place in the years to come, including but not limited to layoffs, terrorist attacks, financial crises, and terrorist threats. The purpose of this essay was to give folks with mindful techniques and explain how they should handle the new year that is coming. Hope is the driving force behind all of these tactics. The greatest way to express this fact is via the words of pastor Richard S. Brown, who serves as the pastor of the Payne Avenue Baptist Church in Tennessee: “I do not know what the future holds.” However, I am aware of who is in charge of the future. A person’s chances of being successful in the new year are significantly increased if they are adequately prepared for it. Possessing the appropriate frame of mind is quite helpful. Your mentality will have a significant influence on how successful you are this year. Please don’t take anything to heart. 2017 copyright by Daryl D. Green
