If so, you may schedule an appointment by calling our office. toothache: carefully floss to get rid of any food particles wedged between your teeth and rinse your mouth with warm water. Aspirin should never be used for tooth or gum pain. Despite the possibility of discomfort, never explode an abscess in the mouth or gums. It can be a sign of an illness or infection. On the abscess, use a topical analgesic until you can visit your dentist. Broken, chipped, or fractured teeth should be cleaned right once by rinsing the mouth with warm water.
