What must be accomplished first before your company can expand to the next level? I have no doubt that you have seen the following headlines: How to Start a Multimillion-Dollar Company in 5 Easy Steps How to Make One Million Dollars in Thirty Days, or How About Two Hundred Thousand? The Step-by-Step Guide to Earning One Million Dollars Online in Just Two Minutes (Yes, this is the title of a video on YouTube!) When you see such headlines, what thoughts go through your head? Is there any truth to them, or are they just a load of hogwash? What if I told you that both of your interpretations are correct? Now, before you hit the delete button or the back button, give me a chance to explain myself. Since COVID-19 struck, I’ve been putting a lot of effort into finding out more about myself. I’ve attended a Mindset Retreat, read books written by Vishen Lakhiani, the founder of Mindvalley, and took his Be Extraordinary program. I’ve also learned a lot about my personality type by reading Dressing Your Truth. These are just a few of the things I’ve done. As a result of doing all of this in-depth work, I have gained a lot of clarity and experienced many “aha” moments, particularly in regard to the idea of attaining a level of accomplishment that is measured in multiple millions of dollars. And just so you know, one of the characteristics of the personality type that I belong to (Type 4, if you follow Carol Tuttle), is the desire to impart the information that I have learned and that I have faith in. Because it’s in my genes, I just can’t help doing it! Let’s get back to the point where our company is making a million dollars… The encouraging thing is that it is doable. The bad news is that it requires a heck of a lot of hard work and luck, or a lot of soul searching and shifts in thinking. Either way, it’s going to take a lot of work. Yes. I am aware. I used the expression frame of mind. It has a history that goes back quite some time. Preached by a great deal of life coaches, experts on the law of attraction, and so forth. Are you willing to continue the conversation concerning the recurring use of this phrase in discussions about achievement? Good, keep going with the reading. In the context of your company, allow me to pose the following question to you: Have you ever considered the possibility that something your company might really use and profit from might be out of your price range? Have you ever entertained the notion of enrolling in a course, furthering your education, or becoming a member of a high-level mastermind group, only to scrap the plan as soon as you learned how much it would cost? What about when you first opened the doors to your company? Have you attempted to do everything on your own so that you could either save money or avoid having to spend any money in order to get started? Have you ever been so frustrated by a problem in your company that you wanted to either give up completely or revert to an activity that was more comfortable to you? There is a good chance that you have encountered this scenario more than once. Probably a great number of times. I mean, heck, I know that I do! I came across a promotion for a high-end business-business event not so long ago, and I immediately felt that it would be the ideal thing to attend… that is, until I saw the price tag. Why is it the case? It’s all in how we think. Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in Fabienne Fredrickson’s Mindset Retreat. I came into this retreat having neither a significant issue nor a problem that required a solution from me. I was more interested in knowing what would happen than anything else, and I had the idea that if I did have any problems with my thinking that needed to be fixed, they would become apparent during this event. When I found out that I was actually doing very well, I was pleasantly surprised. Nevertheless, there was space for improvement (isn’t there always room for improvement?). I also came to understand how significant of a challenge this was for a great number of struggling business owners. Incredible in its size. There were a good number of people there who were having difficulty: Acquire some of their first paying customers. Charge an amount that is sufficient to meet their company expenses. Earning their first $1,000, $5,000, or $10,000 in a single month is the goal. Believe that they are capable of achieving big objectives, such as making one million dollars from their company. Think bigger than just making enough money to cover your expenses and nothing more. Gain prominence and a reputation as a knowledgeable authority in your field. And the list goes on and on…. Now, would you like to take a guess at what they all have in common? Beliefs that hold us back. It turns out that our limiting ideas are the result of messagesâwhether true or falseâthat we internalized before the age of 7. Check out this video in which Dr. Bruce Lipton explains the phenomenon that you are experiencing. As I was growing up, the phrase “Money doesn’t grow on trees!” was always the most common one I heard. (When in point of fact, this is actually rather a false statementâthere are a number of enterprises that perform very well that need the cultivation of fruit or nuts on trees!) If someone gave me a dollar every time I heard that expression, I’d have a million dollars by this point. I’m not even going to make an attempt to clarify this convoluted subject, much alone give any remedies to this sneaky issue, because there are lots of experts who are significantly more skilled than I am who are able to assist you with that. (Please get in touch with me if you are interested in finding a solution, and I would gladly provide some suggestions.) However, my desire and intention was to get you thinking about the potential that you might be experiencing limiting thoughts as a result of deeply ingrained mentality programming. I want you to consider this idea. Could it be that you’re using outdated software, which dates back many years, which is preventing you from even considering the possibility that one day your company may be worth one million dollars? During the retreat, Fabienne Fredrickson stated that you are much too intelligent to be the single thing that is preventing you from achieving your goals. The more obstacles you remove from your path, the more people you’ll be able to assist, and the more money you’ll bring in as a result. Now, here’s the catch. Getting back to the headlines I mentioned earlier in the sentence. It’s possible that they come from reliable sources and were written by people who really do know how to take your company to the million-dollar level. And it’s possible that they’re just con artists looking to take advantage of those who are desperate and prepared to pay everything to get their hands on the pot of gold that’s been promised at the end of the rainbow. Behind that marketing curtain is someone who is making a million dollars every year by persuading individuals who are at their wit’s end that they have the solution. The answer that will make everything straightforward and uncomplicated to carry out. The issue is that 1) They are not true millionaires. They want you to believe that they are using those private jets and driving costly vehicles, but the truth is that they only rented or borrowed those props for their picture or video shoot that will be used to sell their commodities. They also want you to believe that they are using those private jets and driving those expensive cars. b) They are attempting to make a profit off of you by selling you a product, program, or system that was successful for them. However, that does not guarantee that it will be successful for you. c) If they don’t first address the blockages to success in one’s thinking, it will be exceedingly difficult to achieve the results they claim. To put it another way, until those mental roadblocks are removed, there is no way for you to actually succeed. Because it originates in the conscious, willpower is only effective for about 5% of the population. The current results you are experiencing are directly attributable to the current state of your attitude. Your behavior, habits, and behaviors are all driven by the programming (beliefs) that is stored in your subconscious. The beautiful Fabienne Fredrickson Now, this is not to argue that all people have problems with their attitude. There are a lot of extremely successful businesspeople who were lucky enough to avoid hearing or internalizing those messages when they were younger, or who put in the effort to remove the obstacles that were standing in the way of their success by doing the work that was necessary. Therefore, if you believe that there are certain restricting ideas that are hiding beneath the surface and preventing you from achieving success or starting a million-dollar business, read on.
