As far back as 1667, crop circles have been discovered in fields all across the globe. The headline of the first discovery, which is now referred to as “The Mowing Devil,” read, “Strange News Out of Hertfordshire.” The crop circle phenomenon has been rising dramatically since the 1970’s and the reaction from the general media and governments has been to undertake a campaign to debunk any reality to the possibility that some of them may in fact be genuine. Bower and Chorley, a pair of “pranksters” who claim to have been responsible for the building of several crop circles since 1978, have only lent weight to this view. As a result, crop circles have therefore slid into the category of trivia and harmless fun in the eyes of many people. Ignorance on the part of institutions? The media has, for the most part, been able to effectively keep additional inquiries into their validity fairly restricted and not taken especially seriously by the general public. This is something that is truly pretty astounding. The public is now expected to believe that an individual or individuals, in the middle of the night, using primitive tools and apparatus, went on to produce these designs, which, upon closer inspection, are creations of such perfect mathematical symmetry, that actually amount to modern day masterpieces, and then managed to leave the area without even a single blade of corn being broken, and managed to leave without leaving even a single entry or exit trail in sight. That certainly is a leap of trust on your most part! It would be regarded conclusive proof of guilt or innocence of the accused if identical evidence were offered to the jury in a court of law; yet, we are permitted to forsake all reasoning in this situation based on the fact that the government and the media have said that this is the case. Despite the fact that this seems to be nothing more than a scam executed by a select few, there may be more to it than meets the eye. A message in binary code was embedded within a recent discovery that was discovered overnight at Torino Airport in Italy on June 23, 2015. The message read, “timeo ET ferentes!”, which translates to “beware of ET bearing gifts!” Experts believe that it would have taken at least 15 people to produce this creation of intricate beauty, and that it would have been produced at breakneck speed in order to avoid detection. This message seemed to indicate that there would be contact with aliens in the not too distant future. To reiterate, we can always dismiss this as nothing more than another hoax; however, it is important to bear in mind that being warned is the same as being prepared. The approach that involves common sense would be to at least acknowledge the possibility that these crop circles contain hidden meanings and that perhaps we should all pay attention to them.
