When we finally took the time to listen to every word and nuance of the discussion between creationist Ken Ham and Bill Nye, the scientific person, we finally took the time to read the reviews, post some of them on our website, and finally take the time to listen to the debate. The concept of comparing one candidate to another in order to decide who emerged victorious in the discussion was as vaporous as snow in July. The terrible spiritual poverty of contemporary man became fully apparent after hearing just one single response from Bill Nye and Ken Ham’s follow-up reply. It was screaming on the listener’s ears. The explanation that Nye provided for entropy, which is sometimes referred to as the second law of thermodynamics, was among the worst that anybody had ever heard. At the same time, it seemed as if he was advocating for the concept that the law, which declares that everything in the cosmos is deteriorating, could be circumvented by only relying on the warm light of the sun. It was almost as if we were anticipating that someone, anybody, would interrupt the discussion for a sufficient amount of time to remind Nye that the sun is also subject to the second rule, that it is gradually deteriorating and would eventually disappear entirely. However, Nye’s fascination in science and magic could not be dispelled via any means. Following the flowery thought that simple sunlight might overcome entropy and generate complexity, including inter species evolution, Nye went on to extol technology. Her argument was that technology could build complexity. After marveling at all of these things as great advancements for the world, he went on to make his final attempt at proving that science is worthy of being admired, adored, and yes, even worshipped. He did this by throwing in things like emails, handheld gadgets, cell phones, and cameras into the mix. It was a different interpretation of the proverb that states, “It is not the destination that counts, but it is the trip that matters.” The slogan that science is all about the “joy of discovery” was repeated several times by him, as if it were both the source and the legitimate conclusion to all scientific pursuits. He thought that this phrase was the only thing that science was about. His statement that scientists are truly interested in finding a definitive solution to the issue of which came first, the chicken or the egg, was something that we almost expected him to say. The response that Ham gave to Nye was like turning off a massive spotlight; it destroyed his aura, his halo, and his fleeting golden brilliant naiveté. Ham said, “What use is all the thrill of discovery when after that you are dead and your existence is forgotten?” The question that Ham went on to address was, “What is the point of any discovery if man is condemned to destruction and non-existence?” Ham asked this question in a great number of words. We met two individuals, one of them said that it is of far more significance to learn how everything is formed than it is to acknowledge who is responsible for its creation. The other guy was expressing his opinion that the discovery of something’s usefulness and its attraction are both beautiful and really significant, but that learning who to thank is the most important thing of all. In the course of this discussion, we saw a question about the age of the planet being used as a summary argument against the belief in their existence. The whole of God’s revelations of himself over the millennia are to be disregarded for the sake of a single question that, according to the scientific community, is completely unintelligible when seen through the lens of empirical observation. An examination of the Old Man and the Prophet reveals conclusions that are not naive. It is hard for me, as an elderly person who is often found in the company of other elderly people, to agree with a philosophy that asserts that experimenting with the manner in which things are constructed is more important than the reasons for which they were constructed. My contention is that none of the men who are getting close to the end of the time that has been assigned to them can avoid carefully contemplating this simple but deep assertion. It is a piece of wisdom, a clarion summons from the Living God to stop looking about and take a minute to gaze up. It is a call to action. For example, the Bible says, “Because God loved the world so much, he gave his only born Son, so that whomever believes in him might not perish, but have eternal life.” (16th verse of John) I can add that whatever the argument between religion and science creates is not to be compared with what prophecy announces. This is something I can say since I am a guy who’s been given a prophetic calling on my life. Not only does the angel of the Lord announce the end of the dominion of man over our troubled planet, but he also announces that scientists will no longer be able to do their jobs. While making this solemn declaration, the angel makes a peculiar reference to the reader, referring not only to God but also to the God who created everything. “And the angel that I saw standing on the sea and on the ground raised his hand to heaven,” the Bible says. And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” Revelation 10:5–7— There is a passage that can be found in an article that is titled “Religion and Politics Don’t Mix – A Modern Fairy Tale.” This passage is begging to be extended to include science and any and all debates that are concerning the relationship between science and religion. In point of fact, the question of who is going to emerge victorious in this discussion is irrelevant. It is impossible to argue against eternity when one takes into account the vastness of the subject matter that we refer to as eternal. The month of August 2009: As the value of truth decreases, fewer people in the United States will become aware of the fact that in the competition between culture and religion, religion will always come out on the losing end. On the other hand, when a political response is pitted against a prophetic remark, politics will always come out on the losing end. Neither ideology nor theology are in conflict with one another; there is no dispute between them. The essays and reports written by Reverend Michael Bresciani, a journalist, have been posted on American Prophet.org since 2005. In addition, this website also features news and reviews, which has earned it the moniker of “The Website for Insight.” His timely reports and writings have been published in print and online journals and magazines and have been read by millions of people all over the world and nationwide.
