If you were to investigate the historical processes that led to Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist party usurping the democratic process in order to achieve their objective of gaining control of Germany, you would be astounded by the similarities that are currently taking place in the Palestinian Authority. All of us saw the same violent fascist techniques that were used by the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. From the perspective of Gaza, the Hamas group is the most true illustration of this notion. The approach that Hitler used to achieve ultimate rule is being effectively replicated by Hamas. Hitler was of the opinion that the Nazi party would have the greatest opportunity to achieve its objectives if it participated in and manipulated the democratic process. When it came to gaining power, they had a comprehensive awareness of the many processes that would need to be mastered in order to achieve their goals. The following comparison will illustrate the strategies that Hitler used, as well as the strategies that are proving to be effective with Hamas in Gaza and Palestine, as well as the likely mode of operation of radical Islamic organizations throughout the broader Arab world. One thing that any authoritarian is aware of is that in order to control the masses, one must regulate the manner in which people acquire information. The most essential objective is not only to control and mold propaganda to serve their aims, but also to influence the feelings of the people. Never in the history of the world has propaganda been employed to the extent that Hitler’s Germany used in order to exert control over the people who were under their dominion. As a consequence of the Nazis’ strong effort, they were able to gain complete control over all sources of propaganda, including the media, church, and all cultural organizations. With this, along with the harsh oppression and death of all those who opposed the objective of the Nazi parties, they achieved a level of achievement that had never been seen before in terms of molding the minds of millions of people and driving them beyond recognition. The Hamas terrorist organization has been using these very same strategies in both Gaza and the West Bank. In Gaza, there is no such thing as freedom of expression. They are in charge of all the news channels that they have the ability to manage. There have been several stories of international journalists and their representatives in Gaza being publicly intimidated, and in some instances, they have been detained or murdered. These allegations continue to arrive. That any news that originates from Gaza has been polluted by this control is virtually guaranteed to be the case. The language of appeasement to the western world is just as sneaky as it is sinister. By telling obvious falsehoods and misleading the globe via elegant statements of peace and disarmament, Hitler was able to achieve a great deal of success in withholding information about his objectives from the western world. There are several instances in which the Palestinians use a premeditated strategy of lying and slandering in order to exert influence on western nations against Israel. It is unfortunate that western politicians and the media only react to sensationalism, and by the time the truth is out, the harm has already been done. Regrettably, the falsehoods that are given to their own people are much more ominous and apparent, and there is no independent media to dispute the lies. Hitler was fully aware of the need of maintaining control not just over the media but also over religious organizations. All of Gaza’s religious institutions, including mosques and television stations, are spreading the regime’s ideology across the territory. Those who hold positions of authority within the Palestinian religious community are continuously sending messages of hate to the Palestinian people. Not only did the Nazis seize control of the “church,” but they also reshaped it to teach their own pagan ideals and finally made it illegal for any other kind of religious expression to exist. Currently, throughout the Arab world, there is a program that is openly intended to enslave religious organizations that are not Muslim and the people who follow them. As was the case in Hitler’s Third Reich, the primary strategy used by Hamas consisted on instilling fear and intimidation in non-believers and isolating them from the larger community. A Hamas priest named Ziyad Abu al-Haj made the following statement: “The Jews are now spearheading the all-encompassing assault against Muslims… Because of what the Holy Quran has taught us, Muslims are the ones who have the most knowledge about the nature of Jews. a malignancy that has the desire to dominate the whole globe… There will come a day, according to the will of Allah, when their property will be destroyed, their offspring will be eradicated, and there will be no Jews or Zionists remaining on the face of this globe. Children in Nazi Germany were brainwashed at a young age, not only in the classroom but also in the Hitler Youth, which was a militaristic youth program that was founded by the Nazis. Hamas maintains control over the youth groups in Gaza, and within these movements, they implement a program that indoctrinates young people with ideals of hate and the culture of martyrdom, which is defined as a “death cult.” Beginning at a young age, this particular concept is taught in each and every school. It is the same ugly message that is distorted on the children’s programs that are shown on the local Palestinian television. The following is a discussion that took place between a little girl of eleven years old and the presenter over the beating death of a figure named “Farfour,” who was similar to Mickey Mouse and appeared on the Palestinian television program “Tomorrow’s Pioneers.” In reference to Farfour’s passing, Saraa said, “A great number of Palestinians have died as martyrs, and a great number of Palestinians desire to be martyrs of their own.” The phrase “this is one of the ends” When asked whether she had any aspirations of being a martyr in the future, Saraa instantly nodded her head. According to Saraa, “Of course.” It’s something that should make you proud. It is the aspiration of every Palestinian citizen to be a martyr. Comparisons can also be drawn about the manner in which Hamas has taken control of the economy and cynically employs its social arm in order to exert control over the public. A contrast that is equally relevant is the funding that comes from influential friends. The manner in which Hamas has organized its “militia” branch is another aspect that merits comparative analysis in further detail. The fact that Hamas and the Nazis have chosen the Jewish people as their common adversary is, however, the most pernicious parallel between the two groups. This hatred of Jews was at the heart of Hitler’s and now Hamas’s aim to gain control of the situation. The lessons of history continue to demonstrate to us that in order for governments to legitimize their existence and divert responsibility away from their own shortcomings while simultaneously robbing the people of their freedom, they need a common adversary of some kind. Regrettably, Hamas went even farther than Hitler did in its Charter by stating that one of its primary objectives is the complete and utter elimination of the Jewish people. “Hamas has been looking forward to putting Allah’s promise into action, regardless of how much time it may take,” the seventh article states. The prophet Muhammad made the following statement: “The moment (of Resurrection) will not arrive until Muslims will battle the Jews; until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: 0 Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him!” and so on.
