Player-designed content We received more over one hundred submissions for the RS Gold Player-Designed Content Competition, which indicates that the reaction was quite positive. We were presented with a wide range of concepts, ranging from simple improvements to whole new abilities, and it was quite difficult to choose on the five listed below. When we were considering these ideas, we needed to take a number of factors into consideration. These factors included whether or not we had the technical capability to create the update (for example, whether or not we had artists or modellers), whether or not the game engine had the appropriate functionality, and whether or not the update was something that we could deliver in a reasonable amount of time. The majority of the suggestions that we got were really large and would need a significant amount of time for us to develop. Despite the fact that they were wonderful in their own right, they were just too large for this update. In spite of the fact that your concept was not selected for inclusion among the top five, we had a great deal of ideas that we might present in different formats. An example of this would be a proposal for a necromancy ability in which you would be able to revive dead corpses from the bones that were lying on the ground. It is possible that we will not be able to incorporate a talent; nonetheless, the mechanism of resurrecting skeletons from the bones of those who have fallen is something that we felt was fantastic. It is possible that we may organize a unique event in which you would be given the opportunity to make a skeleton out of the bones of your adversary and then kill them in order to get more prayer experience. Additionally, we had a quest that allowed us to access the eastern areas. Once again, it is possible that we will not be able to include everything within the quest; but, the ideas may be used to add additional regions to the map. Another fantastic concept that came very close to making it into the top five was livestock, which refers to the ability to successfully rear animals by using one’s agricultural expertise. In a somewhat unfortunate turn of events, this resulted in some quite difficult technological challenges. If we make a few adjustments to the concept itself, this is something that we would want to present to you in the form of a poll. While we did choose five of your ideas to be included in a poll, it is possible that many of your other suggestions will also be included. Here are the five recommendations that you are now allowed to vote for in the poll. We are getting down to the nitty-gritty of the situation. #12 of the content poll We would like to give a variety of modest updates that have been taken from your recommendations, in addition to the material that was produced by the player personally. Four of them are modifications to improvements that we have issued in the recent past, and the other four are proposals that have been around for a while, with the goal of making player-owned homes a little less difficult for those of you who are skilled. Your settings menu will be updated to include a button that will enable you to render your poh with its doors already open after it has been rendered. A ‘kick’ option will appear on your visitors while you are in your own poh, which will allow you to kick them out of the home and remove them from the premises. In an effort to make the smoke from poh herb burners more noticeable, it will be altered to a green color. In the event that you leave the home alone, the electric poh herb burners will automatically go off. It is possible that the special attack of the staff of the dead will not be able to be used in the duel arena if magic is prohibited for that particular combat. This would make it possible for players to organize duels centered on the dragon dagger without the special attack of the hero of the day being involved. An alternate strategy that we proposed in a previous poll was to restrict the amount of melee damage that could be dealt by the special attack of the sotd. However, this choice was not well received by the majority of respondents. Within the autocast menu of the staff of the dead, the phrase “flames of zamorak” will be included. In the past, gamers have proposed the inclusion of the old magicks on the staff. On the other hand, such spells are usually connected with zaros, but this staff has its roots in zamorakian culture. Although godswords do not have a stab-attack bonus, they do have the’stab’ fighting mode as their accurate manner of attack. This should be changed to a ‘crush’ form of fighting. In prior conversations, we had suggested the possibility of providing a’slash’ form of fighting. On the other hand, the swords already have a very high slash-attack bonus, and for this reason, some players were hesitant to see them granted even greater slashing powers. For the purposes of the God Wars Dungeon, monk robes will be considered to be saradomin equipment. In 2008, while the risks of ice mountain quest was still in the process of being produced, this modification was first implemented. At that time, the monk robes received a cosmetic change that included the addition of a conspicuous saradominist emblem to the chestpiece. As a result, the monk robes were detected as saradomin goods due to this particular cause. Although we are not going to be able to implement that graphical alteration, we are able to make the robes function as saradomin items in the dungeon of the Old School RuneScape God Wars dungeon if you so like. If this were to occur, the army of Saradomin would become less hostile toward you (with the exception of Zilyana’s chamber). In next elections, a total of 280 skills will be necessary in order to cast a ballot. We have been requested to increase the criteria in order to assist in blocking trollish players who intentionally make “poor” judgments during the game. In actuality, the majority of the players who have participated in polls have actually been rather high-leveled, and we have seen several instances in which high-level and low-level players have voted with viewpoints that are considerably comparable to one another. On the other hand, we are pleased to provide an alternative. Due to the fact that the poll module was not intended to provide more detailed criteria, we will have to continue using skill total for the time being. In order to make the polls more accessible to pures and other players who prefer not to concentrate on their skill totals, the level of 280 was selected as the appropriate difficulty level. Furthermore, we would prefer for pures to maintain their voting rights even if they are not granted access to all of the game’s features. When you have had the opportunity to choose the piece of player-designed content that will accompany it, we will begin this poll the following week. Kindly let us know if any of these questions are not clear to you so that we may make the necessary adjustments before the poll starts.
